With the lyrics in hand, the Oscar-winning actress recited some of the most popular lines of the song, including the chorus that goes, “Oops!…I did it again, I played with your heart, got lost in the game, Oh baby, baby, Oops!…You think I’m in love, That I’m sent from above, I’m not that innocent.” It totally cleared my mind, and I was so rejuvenated.Halle Berry just took us on a journey back to the year 2000, when Britney Spears was topping the charts with her song “Oops!… I Did It Again.”ĭuring a sit-down with W Magazine, Berry did a dramatic reading of the hit song. I was like, 'You know what? I need a massage.' So I got one. And so frazzled-after I finished performing for the camera, MTV's Making the Video was there, and these other press people were in my face. and so I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep before the next show.
My flight the following morning was at 4:30 a.m. I was upset because we only had one day to shoot the video and I knew we were going to go overtime. "So we had to shut down production for a few hours. See, stuff like that happens to me! Isn't that bizarre?" the multiplatinum pop star asked. Then sure enough! I lay down for the first shot of the day-it was an overhead shot looking at me-and the big metal piece that was holding the camera fell and hit me in the head. I have really good instincts about things, and I was sitting in the chair and I was like, 'You know what? I feel like something's going to happen.' I didn't know what, but it kept going through my head. It was so gross! We did that dance number 15 million times." The catsuit was extremely hot: It got the point where the sweat was coming out of the sleeves when I'd swing my arms around. But then they started falling down and I was so humiliated!" Spears recalled to Allure in 2000. I had a red vinyl catsuit on and it made me look completely flat, so I had to wear those fake boobs. "The first day of making the video for 'Oops!.I Did It Again' was fine. What fans likely didn't realize, though, was how troublesome the shoot actually was. Nigel Dick directed the "Oops!.I Did It Again" music video, and its production was chronicled in MTV's Making the Video. 1, moving 1.3 million units its first week. Spears released four singles: "Oops!.I Did It Again," "Lucky," "Stronger and "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know." Oops!.I Did It Again featured the first song she co-wrote, "Dear Diary." Its other songs were "Don't Go Knockin' on My Door," "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (a Rolling Stones cover), "What U See (Is What U Get)," "One Kiss From You," "Where Are You Now," "Can't Make You Love Me" and "When Your Eyes Say It."
Photographer Jon Ragel shot the album's now iconic cover. Ironically, Spears' sons weren't even alive when the disc was released. "The boys and I doing our best #Oops album cover pose!" she wrote, referencing 2000's Oops!.I Did It Again. The pop star shared several pictures via social media, but it was the photo of Spears and her boys posing in beaded curtains that really stood out.
